DL Envelopes

At Envelopes4U, we can offer you an extensive range of envelopes, and specialise in supplying wedding stationery and invitations to many different companies. As part of our range of products, we are pleased to offer DL envelopes.

DL envelopes are a rectangular shape, measuring 220mm (8.66 inches) long and 110mm (4.33 inches) wide. It is the most common envelope used in business, but also suitable for invitations, suitable for fitting an A4 sheet of paper folded three times, parallel to its smaller sides. DL is short for dimension Lengthwise’, however, it was previously known as DIN Lang in Germany where it originated in the 1920s.

We have a wide choice of 100gsm coloured envelopes. Our range of DL envelopes that are made from 100gsm paper includes black; bright colours like fuchsia pink, kingfisher blue, poppy red, scarlet red, and purple; lilac; a range of pastel colours (ivory, pink, blue); recycled fleck Kraft DL envelopes and brown ribbed version, as well as plain white. We also have a 95gsm gold metallic option available in the DL envelop size.
